Exosome-associated microRNA as a diagnostic marker

The University of Louisville Research Foundation, Louisville, Ky., has been assigned a patent (8,637,254) developed by Douglas D. Taylor, Louisville, Ky., and Cicek Gercel-Taylor, Louisville, Ky., for an “exosome-associated microRNA as a diagnostic marker.”

Abstract

The presently disclosed subject matter provides methods of diagnosis of cancer or adverse pregnancy outcomes in a subject by measuring amounts of one or more RNAs present in cancer-derived exosomes isolated from a biological sample from the subject.
