Post-doc position available – Nutrition and Health Sciences

The Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a postdoctoral associate in extracellular vesicles and microbiology in the laboratory of Dr. Janos Zempleni. The Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences is home to the NIH-funded Nebraska Center for the Prevention of Obesity Diseases and provides a vibrant research environment with state-of-the-art facilities. Dr. Zempleni is an internationally recognized leader in extracellular vesicles and their cargos in milk. The incumbent will conduct research at the interface of the gut microbiome and milk-borne extracellular vesicles. Requirements include a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in microbiology, genetics, biochemistry and related fields, strong written communication skills and evidence of peer-reviewed publications in extracellular vesicles or microbiology. Expertise in bioinformatics and nutrition is considered an additional strength.
