Post-doc Position Available – RNA Biology at University of Delaware

A postdoctoral position is available at University of Delaware for a motivated and hard working individual with strong interest in the RNA biology and cancer to conduct work on exosomal RNA packaging. The Laboratory’s core expertise lies in studying different species of RNAs at single molecule resolution using Florescence microscopy. The focus of lab is both in understanding basic processes of RNA-RNA and RNA-Protein interactions as well as doing translational work to identify the role of different RNAs as biomarkers in various cancers. The ideal candidate will have background in molecular cloning, RNA and mammalian cell culture. A working knowledge of transcriptional regulation, Image analysis and RNA seq data analysis is a plus. Candidates with demonstrated success in another field and a strong commitment to learning RNA imaging will also be considered.

The laboratory is well equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy and biochemistry.

Applicants should send a cover letter, a CV, a list of publications, a detailed summary of research experience and interests as well as the names and contact information of three references. The information should be sent via e-mail to batish@udel.edu

The University of Delaware is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
