RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – ZenBio, Inc. today announced a non-exclusive licensing agreement with Exoceuticals, Inc for its proprietary Zen3 Exosome technology. Exoceuticals, has recently launched their first product line, eXO, debuting with their first product, eXO Face utilizing the Zen3 Exosomes technology.
Exosomes are a vital aspect of human biology. Exosomes are tiny messengers release by cells which communicate with surrounding cells using proteins, lipids, and nucleic acid fragments as their language. Recently, scientists have figured out how to isolate them from cell cultures and use them for different purposes. For instance, some researchers are studying how exosomes can help grow, repair, and regenerate specific tissue types. Our Zen3 Exosome technology is the cosmetic application of these repair and regenerate principles. Our exosomes sync cells to lock in hydration, while facilitating self-repair to reduce the outward appearance of aging. Dr. John W. Ludlow, PhD at ZenBio stated “With the current body of exosome data being reported by scientists in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, it was clear to me that these naturally-occurring bio-active particles have a great potential to rejuvenate and revitalize skin. Laboratory experiments conducted at ZenBio and at a contract company have confirmed this potential. Exoceuticals has decided to be the first to market a cosmetic with isolated bio-active exosomes as the key active ingredient”.
